I would not call you crazy, but I do dis-agree. Unlike Hayden who was blessed with great athletes when Coach Sayre stepped down. PLD just does not have the athletes available.

They might not have the athletes that Lafayette has, but I watched Dunbar earlier in the year on an ihigh replay vs. Harlan County and they definately looked a lot better off personell wise than many teams I saw play this year (some 6A included). Granted, in Coach Thomas' defense, the coaching carousel that has taken place there the past few years can absolutely demoralize the mental state of even the best athletes.

They even looked as though their numbers were very strong. Any idea how their JV and 9th grade teams did in their Fayette County league this year.

I dont know, but I just have a feeling that this program is going to wake up and realize what they have (numbers, facilities, a great area of Lexington to pull kids from, a good mix of demographics, etc). When they do, watch out.

I just have a hard time believing that in a school with 2,200+ kids, that there isnt the same kind of talent around as there was from 96-2003? But as I've heard many times and have said before; you show me a poor football program and Ill show you a poor administration that doesn't truly give a dang about it (in most cases).
