Boyd County fires Head football coach Lee Evans.

Always_A_Lion Wrote:Lee Evans had the program for 6 years with the first 3 being very talented and still just being a mediocre team. He had a chance to beat Ashland when the Tomcats only won 2 games, he refused to make adjustments on his defense to cover Matt Thomas. I've heard from a teacher at Boyd County that there is alot of talent at the school but they won't play for Lee Evans. I have a co-worker who just told me his nephew was one of them and now plans to play again since they're getting a new coach. I doubt Boyd County will look very hard or get the best coach available, but I truly believe they will become competitive once again.

Isn't this the something you hear every time Boyd County is looking for a new coach? I have seen them play several times over the last few years and they simply lack players. I would venture to say they didn't have 1player this year that would have started for Ashland or Johnson Central, and no more than a few who would have started for Rowan County.

Did they lose games they could have won? Maybe. Could they have been competitive with JC and Ashland? NO WAY.
