Hey--everyone on the field that night saw that including Crossback and Tousaints. It was uncalled for but it happened. Holy Cross was better that night and there are no excuses on our part. However, I hope that the Indian fans can see that some of the blame for the ending to the game rests on their fans and their coach. I will never excuse my team for a personal foul or unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and I only had to call my son down for one over his career, however, just because you have the best team doesn't mean you are blameless. Holy Cross does need to learn how to win with class. They should win the state championship this week, hopefully they will be more gracious in victory then they were last week.

And I'm not making excuses for our team's behavior, you're right HC did things that were unsportsmanlike, and yes Holy Cross should win with class, but all teams need to learn to win and lose with class. There was no excuse for fans on both sides wanting to fight each other, there is no excuse for players taking cheap shots after a play. Hopefully HC learns from this, as does Somerset, and become better for it.

Now I don't see a reason to keep this subject going. What's happened has happened and apologies won't change what happened. Maybe HC was a little too cocky about the win, maybe Somerset was bitter about the loss, I don't care either way, it's in the past, so let's leave it there. And if we do play eachother in the future, hopefully we all behave a lot better.
