^^^^^ It depends. There are usually the home-home commitments that need to be fulfilled with the return game but sometimes those don't work out for various reasons. That's usually when you see teams scrambling to fill open dates that they did not expect and that's probably why scheduling always seems to be more fluid than it is in actuality. And then there's the inevitable negotiating of the home-home (two game) series as to who gets the first home game b/c sometimes the second game doesn't happen. Lots of factors play into but it all usually works out in the end. The point is that it's not as easy as posting it on a message board. No offense intended.

Plus, with teams like Trinity and Highlands, they are always faulted for not playing somebody as if they need an 80 game schedule to satisfy all the naysayers.
