I think you boys are doing exactly what Gov. Christie warned against- you are underestimating Obama. Obama will have the full support of the media with its ability to manipulate the truth. That is a certainty. Obama will have plenty of money. Obama will have the support and votes of nearly all who pay no income taxes and, instead, live off the system. Bank on it. Obama will have the great majority of the minority vote which will include 95+% of the black vote. Obama will have the full support of union leaders with all the money and organization that goes with that. Obama will have the support of Hollywood which, sadly, tends to impress some of our airhead voters. Obama will have his usual support in the "halls of learning" from elementary teachers through college professors (again some tend to listen to them). Obama's people and the media will play the "race card" at every opportunity (never doubt it). All in all, Obama will be very hard to beat. To believe otherwise is folly and dangerous.
I see no way Santorum or Gingrich can beat Obama. Santorum would be painted by the media and others as some sort of right wing nut with outdated beliefs. Gingrich, whether right or wrong, is already disliked by a large majority of voters- even Republicans. No. Neither can win. That is reality.
The media will make every effort to insure that Obama's dismal record is not the focus of the campaign.
However, I do agree with Hoot in his last paragraph of post #5. Romney needs to take off his pink panties and get tough. Coach Rupp always said the best defense is a good offense. Romney needs to learn that fact. The Biden attack would be a good start- but just a start. the Democrats will do whatever it takes to win. The Republicans need to fight fire with fire. This country cannot survive four more years of Obama's socialistic agenda.
