No. That's an issue you will hear from the right, but it's not true. Any police officer can ask to see ID if they stop a car. The issue is, can they stop a car with what appears to be a Mexican, and ask to see legal immigrant papers. The issue is can they stop a Mexican looking person, even though they aren't doing anything wrong.
