I didn't realize that The Finder was a spin-off of Bones. After watching the first episode, I told my wife that the series was a cheap knock-off of Bones. The show was okay but I like more originality. All of these shows are descended from the old Columbo series, which featured the original TV detective with obvious personality flaws. Monk added multiple phobias to the genre. Bones and its spin-offs and knock-offs added a romantic angle.
