I understand the argument for academics and I agree. Academics should be #1 priority. With all that said, I have seen kids who are not interested in any other sports except football who would not even pick up a pencil if they didn't have football pushing them to keep their grades up. I know to be a part of our team you have to keep grades up, as I'm sure other schools do as well.
