Prestonsburg/Paintsville Scrimmage 3/14/12

kidatheart Wrote:Tonight's scrimmage was what it was. If anything was taken from the P-ville side they do need to improve on hitting and pitching. J Moore probably showed the best as far as pitching. Hitting I'm not real sure, but the Daniels kid I believe will take someones spot or be D_Hitter. Then again he came into hit when P-BURG was on the 7th or 8th pitcher. He is just a pure ATHLETE. Upper classmen have got to take control or younger kids on squad will fill their spot. Look forward to Pikevile game Monday. P-BURG was hitting the ball well. Shane will have these kids ready for any team I believe.

I agree. There is ALWAYS a need for improvement in both. But, I was just sitting here and going over the book from last night and breaking things down for Coach to look at this evening at practice.

Tigers pitching: 8 Pitchers

36 Batters Faced
0 ERs
4 UNearned Runs
6 BB
12 Ks
1 HBP
136 pitches thrown
0 HITS

Yes, there is much room for improvement. BUT, that isn't to shabby of an outing for a bunch of kids on any given night. Especially when last night was the first time that they had stepped on an actual mound this season and faced live batting. Heck, I think that was actually the first time they have thrown from an actual mound this season.

GREAT JOB TIGERS!!!!
