Replacing Taylor, Steven, Clark, Sam and Lane is gonna be tough. I think the new bats are masking their inexperience on defense. If I were Priode, I would work hard on shoring up the defense, try to find a lineup that is gonna produce hits consecutively and squeeze out 3 runs a game. These Panthers dont have a ton of experience and that may hurt down the road. Pitching will be relied on heavily, but the bats always improve late in the season. Defense will be the deciding factor in who wins the region. I agree with one of your earlier posts, lack of off season games will come back to haunt this group. Good luck and you are right, great to see Lawson back on the field.

Bats 20% Turf 80% (Also I believe a thing that will go unseen in terms of errors, is not so much worry about the routine play, but the spectacular plays that became almost common. It will still go in the book as a hit or fielder's choice, but for 3 years some of those were outs.)

Good news is the Regional Tournament will be on Turf.

I would be in favor of constant lineup switches until something works. Right now, I would put Miller in the lead off spot. Get him as many at bats as possible and let him do his thing to get around and find a way to score.

IMO, there are no certain fixes at this point. Just have to play around and see what sticks.
