I wouldn't go that far about coaching, as a matter of fact, I don't know that there is any difference.

Central- Ty Scroggins....4 State Titles the past 5 years (never had won one before, granted there weren't 6 classes either, nononethless, I'll give credit where credit is due and when you can real off 4 in 5 years, I don't care if it's one class or 100...that's "doing work" as the kids say these days.

Ballard- Coach Jackson. He has had success at Oldham County, then Pikeville in his short stay and has Ballard rolling.

Fairdale- Chirs Engstrand. He took over before this past year and even though the record didn't show it, he is a very good coach. He was at Henry County for 4 years and took them to the region finals TWICE in that span.

Male- Chris Wolfe. Wolfe got out of coaching for a. It, but he took over at Male before the '10 season and took them to the state finals in his first year. Wolfe also had success at PRP and Waggener in Jefferson County. He took Waggener to the 3A State Finals in '98, losing to J-Lo and company at Highlands. I don't think Waggener had ever been to the finals befor he took them and I know they haven't been back since.

Manual- Oliver Lucas. Maybe best known for his time spent at Bryan Station for a few years before he took over at Manual a couple years ago. Bryan Station had been a bottom dweller for a few years prior to his arrival. I believe it was Lucas' last year at Bryan Station when he took them up to Highlands as a 4 seed, only to lose to Highlands 28-21 I believe?

Those are just to name a few, but there is some very good coaching going on in Jefferson County.

I don't doubt that for a bit. I just think that more NKY coaches do more with less talent. However, those NKY teams don't have Trinity or X to go through.
