1) It is NOT a $60 million stadium (only) ... the entire complex, which includes a transportation center and a performing arts center, is $60 million.

2) The school district has only one school. Will have only one school. Think of a district merging every school in Paducah, Bowling Green or Owensboro. Wouldn't you think that 6,000 person school would have some nice facilities.

3) The school district had already bought plenty of new buses (although the ones they replaced were newer than many districts) and had replaced several elementary schools.

4) The money could NOT be used for books, field trips, teaching aids or educators' salaries ... it had to be used for buildings.

5) The teachers in that district are among the highest paid in all of Texas, public and private included.
