As for the Jericho hush angle, that was 100% Jericho who denied it publicly, while WWE never commented on the topic. Thus, the WWE never confirmed or denied Jericho's potential signing. The WWE made an official statement today, that being HHH who is in a position to speak for the WWE officially and he said all the rumors are unsubstantiated.

Finally, rumors through the dirt sheets are constantly happening, especially as we reach summer. It was the same sources you posted that also said Shaq was going to wrestle Big Show in this past WM. The WWE denied it, while Shaq hinted at it after the dirt sheets started the rumors. The dirt sheets were wrong then, and the WWE hid nothing when they said it was not happening.
