It isn't about service to our country, it's about making republicans look bad. Just another aspersion with no real basis in truth. People who were legally deferred from service in the military during their college years were and are considered special and a viable resource to our nation. What's funny about the label of 'draft dodger,' is college grads were taken in and given an immediate commission in the branch of their choice. That's how it's determined who gets to be an officer in all branches of the US military, college grads are always officers.

Only two US Presidents did not serve in the US Armed Services, they are none other than Bill Clinton, who did lead the draft board on a merry pursuit, and Barack Obama.The last president who did not serve prior to Clinton was FDR.

You are just full of fuzzy facts. You point out two democrats as the only ones that haven't served, yet there were several others that didn't. There were 13 in total.

John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Grover Cleveland, William Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt, Bill Clinton, and Obama did not serve.
