Yet in the 2006 midterms elections the Democrats won control of Congress
[Democrats] haven't had a bill on the floor for 12 years. We're not here to whine about it; we will do it better. I intend to be very fair. I do not intend to give away the gavel. (2006 - looking forward to becoming Speaker of the House in 2007) -Nancy Pelosi
Beginning in January 2007 - JAn of 2010 the Democrats were in control of Congress. President Obama was a Senator for the first two years of that.
Doesn't Congress share the blame for the economic issues facing this country?
Of course, and FWIW, who can truly say they have forgotten the shameful ramrodding of ObamaCare through a democratically controlled, filibuster proof, Senate. Which Obama presided over, and issued marching orders to, up until they were swept out by an enraged electorate in 2010. When they had the power to really change things what did they concentrate on? They didn't care about the economy, or jobs, or anything else other than the issues of social justice. Just consider for a minute what this administration accomplished during the first two years. ObamaCare, the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, Dodd-Frank financial reform, and the ill advised stimulus known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Obama wanted to make sure his legislation would never be confused with George W's economic legislation. The irony of which is that now, Obama is blaming ARRA -2009 on, you guessed it, George W, LOL.
The dems are running their own reverse psychology on themselves these days. Denying the viability of the very same voting sentiment and segment which spoke up so powerfully in 2010, they have resorted to the same old tactic of telling folks what they are to think. The dems are determined to prove to the rest of us that they still control the minds of the masses with their propaganda style brainwashing.
People are fleeing to this land from all over the globe to escape tyranny and poverty, while our own legislators are trying their hardest to change us into something else, anybody other than me find that to be ironic.
