I think most people had Bell ranked first coming into the season. Harlan County took over as No. 1 when Bell lost early. I had Bell No. 1 in the area last season, but I'm leaning toward Harlan County this time.
I'm pretty sure Breathitt was never in the SEKC. Clay County was. Laurel may have been there in the 70s, but I don't think they were in the 80s. I'm not sure about Rockcastle either.
Cawood, Cumberland, Evarts and Lynch were in the CVC until Lynch closed in 1981. Cawood, Cumberland and Evarts joined the SEKC around 84 as Backwoods said.
Several teams like Cumberland Gap have played in the conference gridorama before. Sometimes that's the only way teams can find an opponent.
