I just printed out the link of the president's speech, all 7 pages, and read it thoroughly. There ARE a lot of factors in an individual's success, including the customers/clients/consumers of that product, but it all boils down to the character, work ethic, knowing your product and maybe even some luck to having a successful business. Finally, the opportunity and chance taking of the business owner.

Obama talks about seeing single mothers during his trek across Illinois, and how that made him think of his mom, about how she was raising children on her own, got grants to go back to school, etc. (paraphrasing here) So, I guess maybe a lot of people (taxpayers) DID aid in her getting a job and ultimately raising her family.

I still take exception to the area in his speech where he refers to "you didn't build that". I don't think it has been taken out of context; it's too similiar IMO to Joe the plumber. I think he said exactly what he meant to say, and like RV, is crawdaddin' because people are furious over the remark.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to change their minds, this is just MY opinion.....like it's the business owner's SOLE responsibility if their business fails. If the business owner files bankruptcy, you don't see his customers/clients/consumers bailing them out. Nope, that's where the buck ends!

Any reason to call me out in every thread? Why did my name have to be mentioned in your post to make your point?


Is it now? What about his creditors that get stuck with his bill when he files?
