hoops_town Wrote:I was told that the Clay and Corbin scimmage ended 0-0. I left before they played so not sure how much was varsity or jv.

The JV played first and each team got 2 possessions. Corbin scored pretty easily each time with Taylor looking good at the QB position, although it was against JV. The Clay Co. JV did not score and didn't threaten any.

No scores in the varsity action as both offenses looked to have a lot of work to do. Corbin's RB's ran the ball well, but the center and the QB had problems all night with several snaps either over the head of the QB, or not handled well that led to huge losses that stifled the offense. Corbin's passing game needs work.

Clay struggled trying to run between the tackles, but were able to get to the edge and get some decent gains late in the scrimmage. The only passing attack Clay could muster was a quick pass or two as they could not keep the pass rush out. Corbin's defense looked good with the exception of some missed tackles out in space.
