The Bears looked pretty good last night, QB Austin Maggard did a nice job handling the offense, and overall made good decisions when had to make reads. Jake Middleton looks to carry the bulk of the load when it comes to the running game. Coach Larkey came out in the spread formation several times and they got the ball to Caldwell and Chitwood for some nice gainers and a TD. Alas for the 3rd year in a row the Black Bears have had the misfortune of getting another starter injured, this time it's Jr Safety and RB Zack Chitwood who was hit as he made a nice grab for a touchdown, but will need some medical attention and looks to be out for several weeks. other than the loss of Chitwood the Black Bears looked like they can be another strong team by the time the players get a few games under their belts.
