I agree that Williamsburg would have a tough night against Bell County. We would give up 30 to 40 pounds per player on the line plus we have a BUNCH of kids who play both ways. Also, the Bobcats are quite a bit older, with 14 seniors (per the roster on Riherds). There are several other reasons, too numerous to go into.

I have to disagree that Williamsburg is on a different level than Middlesboro. At least, 'burg isn't on a LOWER level. Most of our starting skill players and several linemen were the core of our middle school team that won the Division III State Championship two years ago. They're now sophomores. These kids beat Middlesboro consistently in middle school.

With the two high schools now having the same kids with the same two years worth of growth and coaching, I don't see how Williamsburg could be on a LOWER level than Middlesboro. It would be a good game regardless.

IMHO can't compare middle school to high school. Two completely different levels. Kids change, get stronger, faster, kids transfer in from other schools!

I would like to see Middlesboro and Wburg play though. Just thinking it might be too early in the season to saying Williamsburg could play with Bell.
