Good players can make a coach look good. Trish be told Russell should have won 3-4 more titles with the talent the've had. I would say any decent coach could have racked up a lot of wins by staying long enough and playing in one of the weakest districts every year.

Wow I am by no means a red devils fan. But Ivan mcglone is one of the best coaches to ever walk a sideline. It isn't like Russell is this great all state athlete producing school. But he almost always wins the district even when those great players leave. And if great players make any coach look good then how come Dixie Heights has had losing seasons even though there qb zeke pike went to auburn? Ivan always competes for districts and regions. Has put Russell on par with the other schools in the area and has appeared in 3 state title games so I bet he can coach circles around you anyday. His style may not be the flashiest but the man wins football games. He is a legend from our area an is to be honored for the work he has done with the young men of that community. So shut up you putz.
