Laurel had a great game plan;let's give them credit, but a pick 6 in the first few plays by the Jags and a long touchdown run by a back that the lakers had and let go, then several calls that didn't go the way of the lakers creates the game that we say. Where does the idea come that the lakers are so superior to their opponents that tough games are not gonna happen?? Well I have a news flash...the lakers are a very good team but not a great team that can easily overcome 2 interceptions, some poor tackling on key plays and some tough calls. Big congratulations to the Lakers on winning the close game when things got tough and they didn't have their A-game. Hopefully this will teach them not to panic and dig in hard when playoffs and district start. The lakers need a lot more of these kind of games and the experience that comes with them!

I agree. This will make the Lakers better.

I also think the Jaguars will challenge the Maroons for the district title. I think that they are as good in week 5 as Whitley Co was in week 2. Of course, I think WC has improved since. Nonetheless, the Lakers have beat three 5A teams that may not be top 10, but are closer to the top of the pack than they are the bottom.
