I don't think having a 3 point lead with 2 mins left to a lesser team was in their plans.

Didn't say it was, but it is in their plans to make this a more developed team by district/playoffs. As good as they were last season, being one-dimensional didn't get them anywhere. The goal has never been to beat these early teams by massive margins, it's been to add a bit of offensive diversity in each game with a goal of being as good as they can be by playoff time. It just so happened that the quick scoring drives we had, and the run, run, run, style of the Jaguars; kept our defense on the field for far too long. When they took the lead with just under 6 to go, the Lakers went back to the old faithful style of offense, and put their best players in on defense and dominated the game. Scoring 2 TDs in less than 4 minutes, and could have scored a 3rd if they had wanted.

I like what I'm seeing, because this will likely be the Lakers best chance for years to come at going deep into the playoffs. Relying solely on Nick Britt will only get them so far..........and they are working on that.
