I noticed several people on this site and others mention UK wouldn't consider Leach because he was in the Mumme mess at UK that led to probation. He was only here the first two years...wasn't mentioned in any of the NCAA issues. BTW Leach makes $2M a year at...where ever he's at.

When I say work I mean produce a winning record in the SEC EAST. Mike Leach's system is not that much different to what UK is doing now under Joker. It's a passing system that is based on the short underneath passing game which calls for the WR's to gian a bunch of yards after the catch. Sec football of today is a long way from what it was when Hal Mumme was on the sidelines at UK. There is reason why Steve Spurrier dumped the "FUN & GUN" throw it 50 times a game system he used a UF. I disagreee with the statement about "recruiting kids to fit his system" because if the system has no chance the best recruits in the USA can't make it a winner. IMO UK needs a coach that that runs a system that has a Chance to win in the SEC. That system is one that is committed to throwing the ball down the field, a system that is committed to running the football and stopping the run!
