I saw a different game. The Colonels seemed to become more effective at stopping the run as the game went on especially in the 2nd half. There were a half dozen 3rd down situations that the Birds found themselves in but squeaked out of many of them. Bir is a very polished QB. Almost too polished for his squad. Highlands has just too many gamers.....and Donovan McCoy. He stole the show. He showed tremendous determination and ahtleticism on every play, many times carrying a half dozen Colonels on his back to get him down. Hats off to the Bluebird D. Sacks, penetration, and an INT. Highlands has the more talented athletes, but CCH has Bir and a very well balanced offense. One of these two teams will pick up some hardware this year.

I agree that I also saw a different game. The interception that Bir threw down inside the 20 was a game changer, but so was when Highlands offense took about a minute and a half to snap the ball on third and three (or so) down inside the 20 at the end of the half (might have been quarter, but I think it was half). Honestly, how did they just let them stand at the line with every CCH player, fan, and coach going nuts? Even the Highlands people I was sitting with (they were standing) laughed at it because it literally had to be a minute or minute and a half.

In the next meeting, I don't think that CCH can play a three man line and let Highlands run the ball down their throats, but they just need to stack the line and say "beat us through the air."
