It is hard for folks to deal with the reality that Knox Central has over the last 5 years emerged as a true power house in the mountains. It was so easy for years and years to chalk us up as below average and worse. KC has improved each year for many years and frankly, even losing Coach Mills, did not even cause a pause in the momentum. Coach Russell took the reins and has done a great job.

Now we are sitting here 7-0 with a great shot at a perfect regular season and a deep run in the playoffs and maybe more. And the only thing people can do is question our stats. Let me put it to you clear. Nobody around here gives a flying flute about stats. You don't have to read stats to know the J. Canady is one of the best football players in KY - just try to tackle him. To attack people personally on a public board will not change the reality of what has happened in this county. Through years of dedication by young men who love this game and the leadership of Coach Russell and his staff we are building a tradition that will impact the lives of all who are involved in the program way beyond that field.
