KHSAA website lists Mayfield as playing football since 1919 and Male since 1893. They only have a list of the top 18 schools. Here is the list through last season:

Highlands 1915 - 828
Male 1893 - 815
Mayfield 1919 - 791
Paducah Tilghman 1904 - 734
Danville 1924 - 719
St X 1917 - 708
Owensboro 1893 - 683
Somerset 1907 - 646
Ashland Blazer 1900 - 636
DuPont Manual 1892 - 632
Middlesboro 1921 - 625
Bowling Green 1922 - 614
Hopkinsville 1905 - 613
Hazard 1926 - 583
Bardstown 1911 - 567
Russell 1926 - 552
Trinity 1955 - 545
Paintsville 1923 - 532

Trinity is in the top 18 but has been playing football substantially less time than the others, only since 1955.
