Russell County @ Knox Central 10/19
#29
This will be a great game. Of these two teams I think Russell Co brings more to the table compared to last season.

The Lakers are considerably bigger & stronger than in 2011, they have a much improved passing game from last season, and they have several other legitimate threats that they weren't utilizing last season.

The Panthers have finally decided that J. Canady needs to be in the backfield, and are 75-80% run. In him, Gist, & Evans they have three legitimate threats to run the ball. But compared to last season's Panthers, they are missing that go to receiver. M. Barger has made the most of his receptions, but only had 27 receptions through 7 games. Where the Panthers have really improved is on defense. IMO they are much improved on D compared to 2011.

I give Russell County the slight edge because of their offensive potential and kicking game, but these two teams are so evenly matched that anything can happen. If either team has an off night, then the other team will blow them out.

IMO the best regular season game of the year state wide.
