Laker20 you said after you watched the Boyle Mercer game that you would give Whitley the edge over Boyle,either you don't know how to judge football or you grossly underestimated Boyle,or maybe the teams from Boyles district are much better than the teams from Russell countys district.either way it seems you misjuged Boyle by around 40 points.maybe this will give you something to think about if Bolye comes calling in a couple weeks.

I actually said that if Whitley Co could handle the play action then this would be a pretty even game. I obviously had no idea that they (Whitley) would not only be without their starting QB and worse, be playing a Freshmen in his first Varsity start at that position......makes a bit of difference. With all that, you won by 31.....we went to Whitley and put 49 on the board and beat them by 29 when they were full strength.

I find it funny how some of the BGR Rebel fans were down on the program, the players, the coaches, the play calling, etc when they were getting beat down by the quality teams (and Danville) on their schedule. But now that they have accumulated wins over a few below average teams they are all of sudden in the hunt for the Championship, with only HHS in the way.....even lowly LexCath doesn't stand a chance in the LOOMING rematch. The fact of the matter is that Boyle has one decent win over a much improved Mercer Co. No wins over quality opponents. I personally don't see much to hang a hat on, but you go ahead and hang yours and hopefully in two weeks you will be blaming the coaches, players, and play calling again.

I guess it's a good thing this game is at Russell Co., because obviously the Lakers aren't worthy of playing at Boyle Co.
