This may not be saying much, just the view from an outsider with no ties to Boyle or Russell County.


When I watched the Russell Co/Knox Central game online I was very impressed by RC. Just my take but I think they are better then anyone in EKY.

As a barometer, as I know Boyle County fans have a ton of respect for the Bell County program, if RC and Bell were to play on a neutral field I would say RC would be a 2-3 TD favorite this year from what I saw. I know Bell isn't as good as some of their past teams, and in no way does this reflect Boyle County, so take it for what it is worth.

My take on Russell County was they were very quick and surprisingly physical, their line was tenacious and finished blocks, Britt and the other back were a nice compliment to each other and attacked the LOS, and they seemed to play with a lot of confidence.

You know they are playing w/confidence. They would go into a game against Trinity thinking they could win. They are undefeated and think they could beat anybody which you expect them to think. The problem is they have not gone up against tough competition for 4 quarters and while that confidence will help in the first quarter when emotions play a factor, the second quarter and second half is when it will be tough for them to keep pace. I also am curious how many players RC has going both ways and playing special teams? If the play a lot both ways, it will take a toll on them against tough competition that does not play their players both ways.
