I think that if your team doesn't have at least an overall 5-5 record, your team does not belong in the playoff scene. Not saying that a group of boys doesn't deserve another game, but come on. I'm seeing some really bad football in this first week. Some teams should be embarrassed to say there a 3A or 4A school. Give the top seeded teams a buy, if they don't have a team that qualifies for a three or four spot. This playoff system needs fixed. Your not helping these teams with losing records, by getting the living daylights beat out of them. You can't build a team/program getting beat 60-0. Just my opioion. Looks bad on Ky football.

I agree in some sense with what you're saying but, that kind of format would not work for several reasons. The most obvious reason to me is that every year you have teams that play very tough schedules and the only games they might win that year are their district games which could leave them under .500 but, they may still be as high as a 1 or 2 seed in their district. The best example that I can think of is Louisville Central in 2010 I believe, they went 4-6 in the regular season and won the 3A State Championship.
