Got me there. Temper flared a bit as I have found T-CATS use of profanity offensive.

I should not be dismissive of Ashland's mythical state titles (and I am not using mythical in a pejorative sense). I apologize T-CATS for minimizing Ashland's history. The only problem with mythical state titles is determining who has them. That is why I do not say that Highlands has 24 state titles though some might. I guess I only go back to 1959 when the playoffs started.

This being said, how many does Ashland consider that they have since I have now seen 10, 11, and 13 mentioned but I only see 2 on the KHSAA site. Not trying to stir the pot but actually curious as to how many and what years.

Come on boys. These mythical titles are not real titles. Either you won a championship game or you didn't win a championship game. Self-declared titles are not titles. And, I'm not saying that just because Ashland apparently "claims" a number of them. No schools can honestly count a mythical, self awarded title. You can't build a legitimate "tradition" on phantom titles.

I don't mean to offend anyone who played for these teams claiming phantom titles. However, they know that they, in reality, won nothing. Stick to the real world- not a fantasy world.
