That is not exactly true. The FBI's investigation found no evidence that either Petraeus or his girlfriend broke the law. That is not the same as concluding that there was no security breach.

The FBI determined that Petraeus was having an affair months ago. There are reasons why the president was allegedly not informed until the day after the election and only days before he was to scheduled to testify. We cannot say for sure what those reasons were, but anybody who denies that the timing was very suspicious is not being honest. There is nothing like a sex scandal to take the media's attention off of everything else.
