Must have watched a different game. Fairview had 14 first downs and averaged 5.5 yards a rush. They had multiple turnovers, some was caused by the defense, some were just bad luck, some were caused by extra effort. Take away the turn overs and dumb penalties and they moved the ball at will. Mayfield is state champ! Congrats which I said in the last post but you must have missed it right behind the truth.

I got some truth for you. I took out 4 big plays. Just 4 runs out of their 50 rushing attempts. Those 4 runs were 3 big runs by the fullback and the touchdown run they had all early in the game. That run the ball all over us the whole game eye popping 5.5 yards per carry plummets to 2.5 yards a carry. Sorry the turnovers be damned after the first quarter we played excellent d and stopped them cold and still didnt give up many rushing yards when they left their starters in vs our jv up until 2 min left. Numbers dont lie. As for those eye popping first downs 5 were in the first quarter and 4 were in the 4th when are starter were busy dumping the Gatorade on the coaches head. Hows That For Truth. So go recruit some guys who can pass and catch play some teams that will challenge you and if Raceland doesnt hand you your a$$ which they will next year come see us.
