I guess some of yall don't enjoy the trips as much as we do. We kind of make it part of the fun. Our bunch will be deciding months in advance whether they want to take the fan bus, car pool with someone and drive straight through, drive alone and stay the night or drive alone and drive straight through. We usually have favorite places to eat along the way or whatever. I guess we actually enjoy that part as much as the game. I dont know maybe it is because our closest district game is 30 miles one way. Our furthest is 2.5 hours. For Regionals every other year its a 3 hour trip. For Semi Finals every other year its 5 plus hours one way and if we are so fortunate state is 2.5 hours one way. If it was in Louisville it only added about an hour to our trip. We actually have fans that will go up to state every year, whether or not we are there. I think the personnel of KHSAA are doing all they can to make the state games fair, accessible to all, reasonably priced and fun. I really think that it is a slap in the face of the people that work so hard all year long on this type of stuff for us to get on here and continue to question every decision they make.

You're a riot! Maybe those people need a slap somewhere. The games still need to be centrally located or near it. Louisville was OK, it was the largest city in the state and the games were at a more prestigious site. Lexington or EKU would be great. Is Bowling Green in Kentucky? Put the games at the best site available nearest the center of the state and be fair. That's the best you can do. Richmond doesn't have a Corvette factory but you don't need one to play football. I mean, shouldn't the KHSAA be interested in teaching student-athletes about fairness? They alternate east-west in the interest of fairness in the playoffs, why not do that or put the games in the center of the state for the finals? Gee. Fairness is not your forte.
