So are you saying, when it comes to picking the best (first team) of the best, media groups (Herald-Leader internal panel and then the Associated Press statewide panel) are way better than the statewide coaches themselves?

Your first-team picks say yes, but some BGRivals folks aren't going to agree ...

He may or may not say it, but I will. The coaches have a different agenda when they vote than selecting the best high school football players. The AP system has its flaws but at least the writers attempt, based on what they know and have seen, to put the best players on their team.
