Give Wright the same amount of attempts per game (multiple totals by 1.37) and you get 4,540 yards, 334 completions, 49 touchdowns and 15 interceptions ... against the toughest schedule in the state ... while playing 14 games instead of 15 (Trinity had two bye weeks in regular season because it could not find a 10th opponent)

There's a reason Wright's on the 3 other all-state teams (AP, Courier-Journal coaches, Herald-Leader Class of the Commonwealth seniors).

FWIW, there's also a reason the leading scorer in the state in boys' soccer didn't sniff All-State either.

Shouldn't a first-, second- or third-team All-State QB have some significant recruiting interest?

I'm not saying he has to sign with a big school, but I can't find him linked to ANY D-I school.

Wright is a great player and played on one of the best teams not only in Kentucky but the nation. Wright was sorrounded by great players even a Mr. Football. I personally never saw either play, was at a combine which Wright attended he is a fine young man. Beasley passed for 4522 yards 41 td's and 14 ints ( 1 int every 34 passes), completed 63% of his passes. Nelson County ran 739 plays this year Beasley had 476 pass attempts and 73 rushes that is 74% of his teams offense. Beasley had to have a target on him everytime he came on the field. It would be hard to tell what would have been if Beasley had played on a team with the talent of a Trinity around him, surley he would have some looks from colleges because of his teams success. This is not about who is being recruited or how good you will be at the next level, this is to reward these kids for accomplishments they have earned in high school, and Beasley has earned his.
