A 5'9 150 lb kid would get so exposed on the defensive end at a high D1 level it would be almost impossible to play him. 6'2 is small for a PG these days, let alone 5'9-5'10.

And all these judgments are being made on mountain basketball. While I love it, it's very different than basketball in Lexington/Louisville. IFthis kid has a legitimate D1 skill set, it's a disservice to him to be playing in the mountains against a bunch of slow kids.

Wow that is a crazy statement. I guess what KCC has done the past two season at the Republic Bank Classic in LEXINGTON does not stack up right? How many state champions has Lexington produced in the last 20 years or for that matter Louisville vs the 12-16 regions? The biggest problem with mountain boys is there tendency to want to stay home.
