Guys I really do hope Mike gets it. We need someone who will help these young men. You guys think that Whitaker and Raines would have worked if we gave them time? One didn't have the speaking skills of a Billie goat, and the other thought we was too dumb, and he bailed out on us. So I think we have a reason to want someone that these kids can look up to, and also modivate them now in the weight room.

Nick Saban couldn't win at LCC, do you ever thing that you have a horrible feeder system, talent pool that is down, and parents blowing smoke up their kids butts telling them how great they are and how stupid the coach is, when they should have been teaching their kids about leadership and team work and unity. Yeah this goes on, I sat in the stands even before Whitaker became head coach and listen to the parents cut him and talking about how the job should have been given to Larry Maggard (whom was part of this year staff and a failure at Jenkins as a head coach). I remember setting beside a parent dogging the coach one night and 2 consecutive TD passes dropped in the end zone by his son, right in his hands but it was still the coachs fault. LCC was formed out of three schools after the 2004 season, those schools in 04 were ( Fleming Neon 0-10), (Letcher 0-10) and ( Whitesburg 2-8) really. Other than Whitesburg being a less than average 2A team their has not been a whole lot of success in that county. Hillard Howard did a good job but it took him 3 years to field a good team, his first 2 year he had a total of 8 wins, 6 of these wins came by beating Evarts,Estill and Evangel Christian. Ozz Jackson the atheletic director is a class guy, that has tried his best to bring in the best coachs available for LCC. If Halcomb comes to LCC, I hope he can turn it around, but it will take some time, and attitude change on the part of the parents, along with adjusting the feeder system to meet the needs of the high schools future. Those people that think Paul Rains and Mike Whitaker are bad coachs must have a hidden agenda against them personally, because their success speaks for it's self. LCC i believe has one more chance to land a top coach, should it not work out again then good luck ever getting another chance. The eyes have turned away from the bad coaching excuses at LCC, so will you blame Halcomb or say he is a bad coach if he don't win in his first 2 season?
