That was then, this is now. It's changing at a rapid pace. Look at the states(12 & DC) going legal on gay marriage, and, look at where the polls lean. It's been 5 years since CA voted on it, and a majority of CA citizens say they wish they had voted the other way on Prop 8. You will find, as more and more polls come out, that in fact a majority of Americans favor same sex marriage. You have to have polls to find where America is leaning on topics, because you can't get a grasp of all of America by just talking to folks in KY. A blind man can see where this is going.
