Jordan faced many, many great players at his position from the beginning to the end of his career, and I will try to place as many as possible on here, just mostly though players he matched up with most of the time, not all of the greats he played against that played different spots on the floor than he did. Here are some I can think of that were pretty good players:

Clyde Drexler, Dennis Johnson, Chris Mullins, Byron Scott, Joe Dumars, Kobe Bryant, Reggie Miller, Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, Darrell Griffith, John Starks, Derek Harper and Allen Iverson were just some of the off guards he faced up against and many nights he had to go up against some great wings as well such as Dominique Wilkins, Bernard King, Mark Aguirre, Larry Bird, Adrian Dantley and many others as well. Jordan was one of the first in league history, if not the first, to record over 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season, so he had his share of blocks, especially for a player who was not a post player. And yes, I think his points and titles are stated a lot, but that makes sense because championships at the end of the day is what it is all about for the great players and Jordan was 6 out of 6, getting three peats twice and winning the MVP in all six. It is not like I am the president of the Jordan fan club or anything and I am for sure not anti-Kareem. But I just think that when it is all boiled down into the facts and the majority of fans, media and great players say that it is Jordan who is at the top of the basketball mountain, I feel comfortable being in that spot with them. I will say this though, I do agree that Kareem, who was Lew Alcindor at the time, was without a doubt the greatest college player of all time. If I am correct he was what, 88-2 or something like that at UCLA and forced the dunk to be outlawed in an effort to slow him down in college. Awesome player, no doubt about that.
