A few additional Highlands historic facts supporting the program's spot as number 1 in Kentucky:

Highlands is second in the nation in overall wins behind Valdosta Georgia with 842 wins (Number one in Kentucky)

Highlands has played 98 seasons of football of which 88 are winning seasons, 8 are losing seasons, and 2 are even seasons.

Highlands has a winning percentage through 2012 of 78.22%

Highlands has had 57 consecutive winning seasons with the last losing season being 1955.

Highlands has had 13 undefeated seasons, number one in Kentucky.

Highlands claims three mythical state titles (1930, 1943, and 1957) (Personally, I do not put much into mythical titles. The 1930 and 1957 seasons were, however, undefeated seasons (10-0 and 11-0 respectively) prior to the Kentucky state playoffs in 1959. The 1943 season they were 10-1.)

Another interesting fact is that Highlands and Trinity have played twice and each has won one game.
