Raceland plays Ashland, Ironton, Lawrence, and Colegrove in non district games.. Hardly cupcakes. Most of you guys are hilarious with how little you actually know about the game of football. If you were at the Boyd game last week you would have seen the db's from Boyd were giving Racelands WRs 8-10 yard cushion every play, respecting the deep ball. Their safeties were at 12-15 yards deep most of the night. Elkins hits Messer on a 18 yard post first play of the game for 6. You guys that complain about Maynard and Salmons are idiots.. Those two are without a doubt two of the best coaches in this area. What coach Maynard does as far as scouting is outstanding. Ask any of his players, they are ALWAYS prepared to the highest level. My goodness just think of how things would be if some of you jokers were in the coaching box on Friday... Wow. Good luck to the Rams and Muskies! Gonna be a great night for some high school football! The teams you mention are indeed tough opponents but when you add East, Boyd, Nicholas, Greenup, and Paintsville the schedule starts to look pretty soft. Nicholas and Paintsville are district games so I get it that Raceland has to play them. But do they really need to play Boyd , East, and Greenup? How does playing a schedule where half of the teams you play will have a losing records help in terms of playoffs? I disagree with Raceland having the best coaching staff in the area because Fairview does. Don't believe me? Look at the numbers. McPeek's staff has district titles Maynard's doesn't. McPeek's has a regional title, Maynard's doesn't. McPeek's has a championship appearance, Maynard's doesn't. I am not saying Maynard doesnt prepare his players but don't tell me that Raceland has the best coaching staff in the area when there is not any objective evidence to support your claims.
