We can all what if this game to death. John actually scored on a 4th and 1 at the Highlands one yard line but a false start penalty sent them back and they kicked a field goal. They also had I think a 1st and goal inside the Highlands 10 yard line and had a holding penalty set them back. IMO that was two TDs they should have had but had to kick field goals. 50-19 or worse is ridiculous and would never have happened. If you want to what if this it may have been something like 47-34 based on John's mental mistakes. Highlands is a great team, but they are not 4 TDs better than John.

I was not at the game and I know it is a lot of ifs. Just saying that the fans I talked to who went to the game said the never felt worried and that they felt they should have won by 3-4 TD margin and if there was a rematch they are confident if HHS play fairly mistake free ball that it would be a 3-4 TD win. They also said HHS had a fair number of starters out of the game and several injuries in the game which made a difference. All that said, they were glad to play a good team that was not over in the first quarter. Looking forward to how JH responds the rest of the year and hope they give BG a good game in the playoffs.
