[Lyn Turpin]

No excuses, just an update on SW. They had been competing and were in every game until last night.

First off, three of our best defensive players, Stewart Russell, Jacob Burchett, and Chris Lynch were all out with injuries. Much different defense without them.

On offense, RB William Lemmon broke his ankle earlier in the week. During the game last night, RB Skyler Stigall went out in the second quarter with bruised ribs. Early in the third quarter, right tackle Lucas Turpin went out with an apparent broken ankle. Then shortly thereafter, right guard Brandon Mayfield left with a concussion. Both may be out for the year. They were the primary blockers and huge holes to try and fill on offense.

I don't think the players are giving up but they are wearing down. They are still just kids and it's been a tough year.
