I never did understand why the previous staff was gutted. They had had a lot of success.

I don't think the PC Bd of Ed felt comfortable placing any of the assistants in the HC position since none of them had previous HC experience. And the antics of one assistant during the playoff game at Anderson Co. in 2011 didn't help them any. That being said, I'm still waiting to hear what gave them the idea that Stephens had the experience or qualifications to take over a successful 5A program. The coaching staff wastes more time on designing the uniforms and fundraising than coaching and preparing the team.
