This kid has a great leg, is young and is in the record book. I also expect him to have a good shot at kicking another the traditional way. But after watching that video you can see what people saying about the asterik, it is in no way the same as kicking with the snap, the hold, the shorter run up, and the rush. Can't do anything but congraduate the kid, he is playing by the rules and is the new record holder.

I'm just an observer here. I don't know the young man or his family nor am I from Johnson County nor do I have any connections to the school. But what HURT ME about all this is that the young man is what? 15 or 16 years old and he just did something that no one else in this state has ever done. What an accomplishment. Can you imagine how he's feeling? Can you imagine how big that is to a 15 or 16 year old? And then, instead of congratulating him on what he has accomplished, people start minimizing it and running it down. You'd think he stole something. If it's so easy to kick a 60 field goal any way, how come no one else ever did it before?

This IS a major accomplishment, Tyler! Keep up the good work!
