The fair catch kick is a rule at the professional and high school levels of American football that allows a team that has just made a fair catch to attempt a free kick[A] from the spot of the catch. The kick must be either a place kick or a drop kick, and if it passes over the uprights and between the goalposts of the defensive team's goal a field goal, three points is scored to the offensive team.

Coach NOBODY is arguing the fact that it is a legit 3 pt FG. In fact EVERYONE that has posted has NOT put the kid down what so ever. All I have seen is nothing but well deserved praise for the kid. It was a GREAT accomplishment and he is going to have a GREAT future for the Eagles!

The point that everyone is trying to make is that it is a totally different kick, which the posted videos clearly show.
