Who has more hold backs than Johnson Central ?
#33
I knew I would get bashed for even bringing this up. And if you read my post I said "I actually agree with you all if a kid is going to be a 13yr. old freshman or a 17yr old senior". My problem is when several kids in each class do it collectively for the benefit of the sport alone. And yes when a coach is supportive of this. He doesn't have to sit down in some kids house and convince him. He can do it other ways. It is not about one or two doing it that is the problem. But when you have class after class with several doing it. I think it should be looked into. Again so we don't misunderstand......I AGREE WITH A KID WHO WOULD BE 13 AS A FRESHMAN OR A KID WHO WOULD GRADUATE AT 17!! BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM WHEN 8 TO 10 KIDS EVERY YEAR STAY BACK JUST FOR FOOTBALL. You can't tell me there are that many kids that need to be held back every year. Just so happens they are good football players. Come on man we all know better. And YES KHSAA JUST INFORCED A NEW RULE THAT GOES INTO PLACE 2014. IF THEY STAY BACK IN MIDDLE SCHOOL THEY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY THAT YEAR. Also if they are not in line to graduate legally, meaning turning 19 prior to Aug. of their senior year, THEY WILL BE ineligible THEIR ENTIRE HIGH SCHOOL YEARS. CHECK IT OUT IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME.
