14 - If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The verse you offer up for consideration is truly profound and 100% applicable to the United States in our time. Our lawmakers have lost their way and have substituted the dubious wisdom of man for the infinite wisdom of God. And yet, it is not the lost that God is speaking to here. Rather, it is HIS people. In other words, it is God's own people, the saved, who are to humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways.

If that happens, He being faithful and true, will heal our land. We can gripe all we want but, to no small degree the fault lies within the church. We are to call out sin for what it is!
